Compare Mitch

Mitch against the other ways tradies handle marketing: agencies, doing it yourself, paying for leads, and review software. Each page lists prices, terms and when the other option is the better pick.

Every tradie gets pitched the same four things: an agency retainer, a lead marketplace, review software, or the advice to "just post more". These pages put Mitch next to each of them with the money in Australian dollars and a plain section on when Mitch loses.

What Mitch actually does

You finish a job, snap a photo from the driveway and type or dictate one line. A minute later there are drafted posts waiting. You read them, change what you like and approve. Nothing goes out before that.

  • Social, A$129 a month: Facebook and Instagram posts, stories and reels on a content calendar, the crew app, 3 seats.
  • Local, A$249 a month: everything in Social, plus Google Business Profile posts, a Google review request texted 24 to 72 hours after the job, AI-drafted replies to reviews, an inbox and 5 seats.
  • Complete, A$579 a month: everything in Local, plus on-page website fixes, a WordPress plugin, a new blog page every week, local rank tracking and 10 seats.

All plans: 14-day free trial, no card, month to month, cancel any time. Details on the pricing page.

Review requests go by text, so the Spam Act applies. Mitch only sends one when you have the customer's mobile number and have ticked that they agreed. That is general information, not legal advice. ACMA explains the rules at its page on avoiding spam.

Pick the question you are asking

An agency rang and wants A$1,500 a month

Fair enough to ask what you get for it. We cover typical retainers, contract terms and who should own your accounts in [hiring a marketing agency](/au/compare/hiring-a-marketing-agency).

I could just do it on Sunday nights

Some tradies do, and do it well. The risk is the month you are flat out. See [doing it yourself](/au/compare/doing-it-yourself).

hipages keeps sending me leads

Leads and reviews do different jobs, and only one of them stays yours. See [paying for leads](/au/compare/paying-for-leads).

Platforms and software

Where a company publishes its prices we quote them with the date we looked. Where it does not (Birdeye does not list Australian pricing), we say so rather than guess a number.

Ground rules for these pages

  • Competitor facts come from the company's own pages, linked under Sources.
  • We do not quote results or customer numbers for Mitch.
  • Mitch does not run ads, build citations or promise a ranking, and each page says so.
  • Agency ranges are typical figures for small local businesses, not quotes from a named firm.

If something here is out of date, tell us and we will check it.

Questions answered

Are these comparisons fair?
We aim for it. Each page has a section on when the other option is the better pick, and every competitor fact links to a source with the date we checked it.
How often are they updated?
Prices and terms change. Each page shows the date its facts were checked, and we review them every quarter.
Where do I start?
If you are not sure what to compare, start with paying for leads, hiring an agency or doing it yourself. Those three are the broadest choices, and the software pages come after.
