Social media
Automated social media content for contractors
You already take photos of finished work. Send one job in from your phone and Mitch writes the Facebook and Instagram posts, stories and reels about it, scheduled on your content calendar.
You know the page should be posting. You are also booked three weeks out. So it goes quiet for a month, you post three photos on a Sunday night, and it goes quiet again.
Meanwhile the people who might hire you check your Facebook before they call. They are looking for one thing: is this outfit busy and still around? Recent photos of real jobs answer that. A page that last posted in spring does not.
Why the page goes quiet
"I do not have time to be a content creator." Right. You are a roofer, a plumber, a remodeler. Writing captions and picking hashtags is not your job, and the stuff you could post, like finished work, is already on your phone.
Hiring someone is the other option, and for a small outfit that is a monthly bill for posts that are often stock photos with a generic caption. The posts that work for a contractor are the specific ones: this kitchen, this roof, this town.
How Mitch handles it
Submit the job from your phone
One or two photos, a line about the work, and the customer's number if you want a review request later. Anyone on the crew can do it from the branded app, and the note can be dictated.
Mitch writes the posts
About a minute later it has picked the best photo and written the Facebook and Instagram posts, stories and reels about the actual job and the town it was in.
Nothing goes out until you say so
Read the draft, edit a line or have Mitch write it again, then approve. Approved posts show on your content calendar, so you can see what goes out and when.
Not just a Facebook page
Social is the base of every plan. On Local and Complete, the same job submission also feeds your Google Business Profile and queues the review text, and comments and messages from your socials come into one inbox. For the Google side, see Google Business Profile and review requests.

A worked example
Say Tom runs a three-man roofing crew in Columbus, Ohio. He finishes a tear-off and a new asphalt shingle roof on a ranch house in Dublin, takes a few photos, and sends the job in from the truck with a voice note: "Full tear-off, 30-year architectural shingles, new ridge vent, done in one day."
A minute or so later Mitch has a Facebook post, an Instagram post and a story ready, written from his photos and note and naming Dublin. Tom edits a line, approves them, and puts them on the calendar.
What this will not do
It does not guess at your work. If you do not send in a job, there is nothing to write about, which is the point. It also does not run paid ads, and it cannot promise how many people will see or like a post. What it does is keep your page current with real work and take the writing off your plate.
If you are weighing social against other kinds of marketing, the social media blog goes deeper on what works for contractors.
