If you've joined the getmitch waitlist or contacted us, you can ask us to delete what we hold about you. This page sets out how, what gets deleted, what doesn't, and how long it takes.
How to ask
Email hello@getmitch.ai with the subject line Data deletion request. Include the email address you used when signing up so we can find your record.
If the email you're writing from is the same one you signed up with, that's enough. If it's a different address, we may ask you to confirm from the original address before we delete anything - this is to stop someone else from wiping your record.
What we delete
- Your waitlist entry: name, business name, email, trade, plan.
- Any free-form support emails or messages tied to that email address.
What we don't delete
- Aggregated analytics. Google Analytics holds page-view counts, referrers, and similar aggregate data. Once collected, this data isn't tied to you individually and can't be picked out and removed. We can ask Google to delete a specific Client ID; email us if you want this and we'll process it through GA's data deletion API.
- Server logs. Cloudflare keeps short-term request logs (IP, user agent, URL, time). These roll over within 30 days. If you want a specific log entry purged sooner, tell us and we'll do what we can.
- Records we have to keep. If a deletion would conflict with legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations, we keep the minimum necessary and delete the rest.
How long it takes
| Step | Timeline |
|---|---|
| We confirm receipt of your request | Within 3 business days |
| We delete your record from the live database | Within 30 days of confirmation |
| Backups containing your record are purged | On rolling cycle, up to 90 days |
Once your live record is deleted, we don't restore it from backup. Backups are only restored to recover from a system failure, and any restored copy is re-purged on the next cycle.
Confirmation
When the deletion is done we'll email you to confirm. After that, you'll stop receiving any messages from us related to the waitlist.
